Better Shipping "the App" provides customized shipping rates "the Service" to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store or visit our website.

When You Visit Our Website
When you visit our website (bettershippingapp.com), or use the Better Shipping App for Shopify (bettershipping.herokuapp.com), we may collect the following types of information:
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our website, including pages visited, time spent on pages, and navigation paths.
Device Information: Technical information about the device you use to access our website, including browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and device type.

When You Use Our App
When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:
Shop data, which includes your Shopify URL and timezone
Product data such as product name, types, and collections
Order data such as billing name, shipping address, phone number, email address and order items
Shipping data such as shipping zones
Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information from you and/or your customers once you have installed the App:
Customer shipping addresses, cart contents and the date and time of the shipping request are stored on our server logs for 7 days, used for analysis if there are issues, and then deleted automatically after 7 days.
Information about you and others who may access the App on behalf of your store, such as your name, address, email address, phone number, and billing information;
Customer shipping addresses that are sent to us via Shopify when a shipping rate is requested can contain: email addresses, phone numbers, first names, last names and addresses
Information about individuals who visit your store, such as their IP address, web browser details, time zone, and information about the cookies installed on the particular device.
Technologies We Use
We collect personal information directly from the relevant individual, through your Shopify account, your visits to our website, or using the following technologies:
